Joined by Gottlieb Daimler and engineer Wilhelm Maybach, the first Mercedes-Benz brand name vehicle was produced in 1926 after the merging of Karl Benz's and Gottlieb Daimler's companies into the Daimler-Benz company. Based in Stuttgart, Germany, Mercedes Benz is an innovator in the production of automobiles, trucks, buses, and engines with a reputation for quality and durability.
