Founded by Sir William Lyons in 1922 in Coventry, England, Jaguar is now operated as part of the Jaguar Land Rover business owned by Tata Motors in Mumbai, India. Jaguar made its name in the 1950's with a series of elegantly styled sports cars and also has had major successes in sports car racing particularly in the Le Mans 24 Hour.
